112 New Positives In First Five Days Of Dec.

The Montgomery County Health Department reports 112 new COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the first five days of December for a positivity rate of 4.9 percent, down slightly from the overall 5.0 positivity rate for November.

As of Saturday, Dec. 5, the health department reported a total of 1,226 positive cases since the pandemic began.

Since Wednesday, Dec. 2, the Nokomis School District has learned of three high school student positives, two North Elementary School students, and one North Elementary staff member.

The Litchfield School District learned of a student positive at the middle school on Thursday, Dec. 3, and the Hillsboro School District reported one positive, a first grade student, last week.
