Terry Lee Ferguson, 67, of Litchfield, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 at 8:25 a.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Funeral services for Mr. Ferguson will be held Wednesday evening, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 3 until the time of service. The Rev. Gary Schwab, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate and cremation will follow the service. Interment of ashes will be held Saturday, Dec. 16,  at 10 a.m. at Elm Lawn Cemetery with fellowship to follow.

Mr. Ferguson was born in Mt. Olive, a son of Edward Clyde and Elsie Henrietta (Lewis) Ferguson.  He graduated from Mt. Olive High School with the Class of 1974.

Mr. Ferguson worked construction for several years out of Laborers Local #84 in Litchfield. He was a machinist and leadman at Echlin Manufacturing in Litchfield and was also employed at Eaton Corporation in Petersburg. Mr. Ferguson was a member of AmVets Post #16 and Moose Lodge #1634. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles football fan and enjoyed watching sports as well as playing pool and going bowling. In his younger years he enjoyed riding on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Hanging with his family and friends was what brought him happiness.

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his three sons,Gary (Jennifer) Entrikin of Nilwood, Don Webb of Litchfield and Ryan (Deanna) Montoro of Wilsonville and three daughters, Cha Hamby of Hillsboro, Stephanie Adjabeng of Litchfield and Misti Webb of Glen Carbon;  brother, Terry (Cathy) Hemken of Litchfield and five sisters, Judy (Chad Cunningham) Allen of Sorento, Karen (Dan) Pence of Walshville, Deanna Bruntjen of Litchfield, Diana (Nick) Darland of Springfield and Cindy (Terry) Burgess of Edwardsville; nine grandchildren, Brooke Davidson, Kennedy Scroggins, Dustin Macri, Christian, Kolby and Karlee Entrikin, Evan Webb, Frank and Vinnie Montoro; and great-granddaughter, Laykyn Entrikin.

Mr. Ferguson is preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Henry “Ott” Hemken, his step mother, Marolyn Ferguson; his son Shane Ferguson; brothers Kenneth and Norman Ferguson and Robert Hemken and a sister, Juanita Hosick; and a great-granddaughter, Athena Scroggins.
