Susan L. Wandling, 61, of Bloomington, formerly of Litchfield, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Hallmark Care Center in Carlinville.
Per her wishes, her body has been donated to cancer research and there will be no services.
Mrs. Wandling was born to Arthur and Marilyn (Wills) Wandling on June 11, 1962, in Hillsboro. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1980.
Mrs. Wandling began her working career at McDonald’s restaurant in Litchfield, before working at several other locations for McGraw Enterprises. After relocating to Bloomington, she began her 23-year career at State Farm, retiring as a business area privacy representative on March 4 due to health concerns.
Mrs. Wandling is survived by her parents, Arthur and Marilyn Wandling of Litchfield; sister Kathy (Ron) McEvers of Wrights; nephews Zachary (Kassie) McEvers of Greenfield, Jarrod (Cassie) McEvers of Wood River and Mason (Carlie) McEvers of Alton; and six great-nieces and nephews.
