Pauline Linda Ocelia Leake, 99, of Litchfield, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at 9:43 a.m. in her home.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating. Following the service, a dinner will be provided for the family and friends at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. At 1:30 p.m. the funeral procession will line up at the funeral home to proceed to Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville for burial.

Mrs. Leake was born Oct. 25, 1919, in Farmersville, a daughter of Edward and Ida (Nobbe) Fuchs. She married Paul Leake on Sept. 26, 1953, in Litchfield, and they later divorced.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, where she had been active in Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school.

After graduating high school, she worked at Brown Shoe Company in Litchfield. She then worked for Braniff Airlines, Mid-Continent Airline and TWA.

Over the next several years, she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Yaeger, Dr. Floreth and Dr. Allen, all in Litchfield. She loved traveling, going to the ocean and playing pinochle.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Michael) Sodowsky of Valdosta, GA; nephew, Scott (Monica) Fuchs of Colorado Springs, CO; niece, Diane Fuchs of Litchfield; sister-in-law, JoAnn Fuchs of Litchfield; six great-nieces and nephews, Adam (Leah) Fuchs, Brian (Kiley) Fuchs, Austin Fuchs, Heather Fuchs, Steven Fuchs and Kathy Fuchs; and four great-great-nieces and nephews, Roman Fuchs, Jackson Fuchs, Jace Fuchs and Harvey Fuchs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Fuchs; sister, Leona Niemann; and one nephew, Doug Fuchs.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Onward In Faith Campaign (to benefit Zion Lutheran School) in Litchfield.
