Paula Joy Jones, 66, of Litchfield, died Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her residence.
Private family services will be held. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born in Fort Riley, KS, June 26, 1957, a daughter of Harold E. and Nancy M. (Suits) Kirby.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the 1976 graduating class at Litchfield High School before attending Capital Area Vocational Center’s nursing program.
She dedicated her life to caring for others, bringing joy and enriching the lives of her children, grandchildren, and hundreds of patients during her career as a licensed practical nurse, most recently with Aperion Care in Litchfield.
She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and enjoyed crocheting, singing karaoke, camping, fishing, and Facebook.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her three sons, Shaun Weller of Litchfield; Dr. Jason (Alison) Weller of Bridgewater, MA and Bryan Weller of Litchfield; brother, Michael Kirby of Aubrey, TX; sisters, Beth Law of Litchfield and Rhonda Foster of Bradenton, FL; five grandchildren, Bryan Weller, Jr., Lucas Weller, Madyson Weller, Fredchesca Lemaster and Zaviar Weller.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loyal canine companion, George.
