Patricia A. "Patty" (Shaffer) Marks, 52, of O'Fallon, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at her residence.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 3, at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. in Fairview Heights, with Pastor Chris Hill officiating.

Mrs. Marks was born Dec. 1, 1965, in East St. Louis, to John and Lill Shaffer. She married Tony Marks, and he survives.

She was a process improvement manager at Valley Industries Sheltered Workshop in Hazelwood, MO, for the last eight years. Previously, she worked at Ponderosa restaurants in Fairview Heights, Belleville and Litchfield.

An incredible woman, she will truly be missed. She had an amazing sense of humor, an infectious laugh and a personality that drew people to her.

She was a wonderful mother and a beautiful wife. Her family is thankful for all of the sacrifices and love she showered on them each and every day. She will remain in their hearts forever.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, AJ (Alecia) Marks of Swansea and Greg Marks of Edwardsville; her father, John Shaffer of Fairview Heights; her sister, Linda Shaffer of Fairview Heights; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Marks of Marissa, and Terry Marks and Jeanne McLain, both of Fairview Heights; brother-in-law, Bert Marks of Grand Junction, CO; a niece, Jennifer Nichols;  a nephew, Joseph "Joe Joe" McLain; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Highland Animal Shelter.
