Nancy J. Blackburn of Champaign, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, in Camargo.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Freese Funeral Home in Tolono. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Blackburn was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Pana, the daughter of Thorton (T.A.) and Virginia (Gordon) Wallace. She married Larry W. Blackburn on July 3, 1960, in Coffeen, and he survives.
In 2004, she retired from the University of Illinois, where she worked and managed the residence halls. She was a member of the local and county Home and Community Education. She was a past worthy matron of the Tolono Masonic Lodge.
She enjoyed showing sheep at numerous county fairs and collecting Jewel Tea dishes. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Rodney (Tracy) Blackburn of Sadorus, Missy (Jamie) Chitwood of White Heath and Mindy (Jim) Bragg of Camargo; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patty (John) Forbes of Springfield and Carol (Mark) Meyer of Carlinville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
