Myron Dale Tuetken, 94, of Irving,  died Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Tremont Ridge in Hillsboro.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 29,  at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Nokomis, with visitation before the funeral service from 9 to 10 a.m. The Rev. Chris Prumm of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mr.  Tuetken was born on February 23, 1929, in Witt, to Fred and Louise (Detmers) Tuetken. He married Berniece Epley on April 27, 1957, in Nokomis, and she survives in Hillsboro.

Mr. Tuetken lived in the Irving area most of his lifetime. He worked as a farmer and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Nokomis, American Legion Irving Post, and Farm Bureau. Myron was a past Nokomis Grain Elevator Board member. He loved to bowl and bowled for 40 years at Nokomis Town Pump Bowl in Nokomis. Myron was an avid Illini basketball fan, and a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Kevin (Gail) Tuetken of Hillsboro, Kent (Rosemary) Tuetken of Irving, Kurt (Dana) Tuetken of Oviedo, FL, Kathy (Tom) Joyce of Irving, Karen (Larry) Lemon of Hillsboro; his grandchildren Lucas (Megan) Tuetken, Shea (Alayna) Tuetken, Josh Tuetken, Jeremy Tuetken (companion, Bailey Heintz), Jordan Tuetken, Ashley (Kevin) Pennell, Kellie Tuetken, Zachary (Jacque) Tuetken, Casey Tuetken, Anthony Tuetken, Koby Lemon, and Kaden Lemon; and great grandchildren Jackson, Harrison, Sloan, Kaleb, Kyla, Elyse, Emmy, Haisley.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Lester Tuetken and sister Lavonne Meier.
