Mary Alice Ridley, 83, of Litchfield, formerly of Springfield, died at 9:24 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 at Litchfield Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home in Springfield is assisting family with arrangements.
Mrs. Ridley was born May 9, 1940 in Litchfield to Thomas and Alice (McNamara) Campbell. She married Bill Ridley on Oct. 16, 1965, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1983.
She is survived by her daughter Julie ( Al) Birks of Manchester, England; grandchildren, Sadie, Ruby, Casey, Max and Aaron Ridley Birks.
Mrs. Ridley retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue where she was employed as a tax analyst.
In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Campbell.
Memorial are suggested to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
