Josephine M. "Grandma Jo" Harris, 95, of Clinton, formerly of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018.

Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Sands officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Harris was born May 29, 1923, in Hillsboro, to George and Maymie (Chaudoin) Hudelson. She married Charles Harris in 1942, and he preceded her in death in 1983.

She worked at Candy Kitchen, Weller's Grocery Store and Ross Shoe Store in Hillsboro for over 20 years. She also worked at Maymie's Cafe. She then started babysitting and loved it most of all.  She was a member of the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church, where she sang and led the congregation, and she loved playing canasta with friends.

She is survived by one son, Charles (Carol) Harris of Virden; daughter, Jane (Tom) Wiley of Mississippi; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Harris, who she visited every day for four-and-a-half years while he was in the nursing home; brothers, Clarence, John George Hudelson and Pete Olroyd; and one sister, Jane Page.

Memorials may be made to Hillsboro Free Methodist Church.
