James Ray "Scotty" Sneddon, 72 of Nokomis, died on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at his home in Nokomis.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis.
Mr. Sneddon was born on Dec. 3, 1946, in Pana, the son of James McGarity and Normagene I. (Spinner) Sneddon He married Shirley E. Simmons May 21, 1966, in the United Methodist Church in Nokomis, and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Kimberly Sue Brown, Kerry L. Sneddon and James M. (April) Sneddon; grandchildren, Mitchell and Mariah Brown, James D. and Emma Jane Sneddon and Allison Sneddon, all of Nokomis; sisters, Patricia (Dale) Burg of Springfield, and Kristina (Steve) Shelton of Pawnee.
