Ida M. Brown, 87, of Pana, formerly of Bingham, died on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Ramsey.

Mrs. Brown was born on June 2, 1930, in rural Ramsey, to Thomas Jefferson and Irena Matilda (Rhoades) Leigh. She married Gerald Leon Brown on March 4, 1946, in Taylorville, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1995.

A member of Oak Valley Penecostal Church in rural Ramsey, she worked as a housekeeping supervisor at Taylor Springs Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, Gerald Brown, Jr. of Effingham, Phillip (Phyllis) Brown of Pana, Curtis Brown of Bingham and Raymond (Rhonda) Brown of Pana;two daughters, Glemma (Gerald) Sours of Vandalia and Cheryl Vohlken of Mason; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Memorials may be directed to Christian County Hospice.
