Harold Lee "Dutch" "Uncle Sam" Schoeneweis, 84, of Litchfield, formerly of Irving, died Sunday, April 7, 2019, at 10 p.m. at Aperion Care Litchfield.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Ward of Hillsboro officiating. Burial will be held in Irving Cemetery.
Mr. Schoeneweis was born March 13, 1935, in Litchfield, the son of the late John Henry Oliver and Pearl L. (Leonard) Schoeneweis.
During his lifetime, he lived in Irving and Litchfield. He worked as a laborer in construction.
He is survived by his nieces, Juanita Zeller, Mary Jo Bone, Patricia Lynn Rapien and Barbara Ellen Earnest; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Joni Zeller, Nina Whiteside, Danny Cruthis, Rae Lynn Rangel, Jolene Notter, Amy Bone, Cody Bone and Jeanna Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Daniel Charles Schoeneweis in 1971, and his sister, Mary Hannah McKinnerney.
