Gwendolyn Naomi (Moffat) Davis, "Mom Gwen," 71, of Litchfield, died Monday, April 8, 2019, at 3:41 p.m. at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Private burial was held in Witt Cemetery. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Living Stones Church in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.

Ms. Davis was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Hillsboro, a daughter of Norman Calvin and Helen Lucille (Armentrout) Moffat. 

A 1965 graduate of Witt High School, she went on to attend Greenville College in 1966. She graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, in 1969. From there, she studied at Trinity Bible College, also in Tulsa, OK. 

After graduating from there, she furthered her studies at Christ For the Nations in Dallas, TX, graduating in 1971. While there, she served as the chairman of the Child Evangelism Department from 1977 to 1979. 

She was the founder and executive director of Latter Rain Ministries, Inc. in Litchfield. LRM was established in 1984.

She is survived by one brother, James C. (Judy) Moffat of Ottsville, PA; one sister, Mary J. (David) Hansen of Rockleigh, NJ; nieces, Lisa (Armando) Tovar and Julie (Chris) Abiuso; great-nieces,  Cristina Tovar and Larisa (John) McGee; nephew, David C. (Elena) Hansen; and great-nephews, Armando David Tovar, Nathaniel and Andrew Abiuso, Daniel (Rachel) Hansen, and Joshua and Michael Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
