Dorothy Victoria Johnson, 95, of Nokomis, died on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at 1:25 a.m. at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 2, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in rural Nokomis. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Carlinville, to Otto and Nellie (Wiese) Lange. She married Orville Johnson on June 15, 1947, and he survives.

She was raised on a farm near Carlinville and graduated from Carlinville High School.

During her career, Mrs. Johnson worked at the Farmer's Merchant Bank, Prairie Farms Creamery and Production Credit Association in Hillsboro. She later became a homemaker and farm wife in rural Nokomis.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis, Trinity Lutheran Couples Club and Pork Producers.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Duane (Chris), David and Delores; grandchildren, Kyle, Karen, Dayna and Adam; great-grandchildren, Owen, Logan and Evan; and a sister, Melba Dugan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Edna Allen; and a daughter-in-law, Lois.
