Donald Lee “Don” Titsworth, 90, of Litchfield, died on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, with his family at his side.

Visitation will be held at noon, prior to the service, on  Saturday, Oct. 31, at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Funeral services will begin at 2  p.m. at the funeral home, with his son-in-law, Steve Schmidt, officiating. Social distancing rules apply and masks will be required. Cremation will follow services. Burial will be held at a later date. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Titsworth was born on Oct. 11, 1930, in Grisham Township near Walshville, a son of the late Howard Iva and Gladys Marie (Engles) Titsworth. He married Grace Jackson on October 2, 1951, in Litchfield, they recently celebrated their 69th anniversary. Mr. Titsworth was a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served for 5 and a half years during the Korean War. 

He belonged to the local labor union and was employed as a roofer. Mr. Titsworth was a member of the American Legion and the First Shift Liar’s Club, who met for morning coffee at 5 a.m. daily. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.

Mr. Titsworth is described by his family as having a sense of humor that was second to none and those closest to him knew him to have an ornery streak once in a while. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cherishing his wife.

Mr. Titsworth is survived by his wife; daughters, Donna Sharp of Litchfield and Jeanie (Steve) Schmidt of Butler; sons, Daniel (Ruth) Titsworth of King George, VA, David  Titsworth of Hillsboro, Mark (Lisa) Titsworth of Omaha, Nebraska, Randy (Pam Rhodes) Titsworth of Divernon and Clay (Kelly) Titsworth of Litchfield; brother, Wayne Titsworth of Bowling Green, KY; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Levi Titsworth; son-in-law, Roger Sharp; daughter-in-law, Lisa Titsworth; and sister, Ethel Boehme.
