Debra "Debbie" Jean (Ramirez) Flores, 61, of Litchfield, formerly of Chicago, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at 12:21 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Ministries in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 9, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Keith Parris officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Mrs. Flores was born Aug. 24, 1957, in Chicago, to Manuel and Mary (Gonzales) Ramirez. She  married Dagoberto "Robert" Flores on June 26, 1999, in Chicago, and he survives.

She worked as a child care provider at a daycare center in Chicago, and was a member of Cornerstone Ministries in Litchfield. She loved her church and her church family, especially the pastor and his wife. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and the "oldies," often dancing around. Additionally, she loved reading her Bible and the color purple.

Mrs. Flores was a woman of her word, sometimes bossy and to the point, but no one ever doubted her sincerity. She loved those around her and was loved in return. She took care of her husband and enjoyed spending time with her family as often as she could.

She never passed up a bargain and loved spending her weekends thrift shopping at several different locations. Any time she thought someone was going to pass a White Castle, she always made a point to remind them to bring her some of their famous burgers. She also made sure she was never without her chewing gum.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Flores is survived by her "fur babies," Sparkles and Thunder; a brother, Joseph "Joe" Ramirez of downtown Chicago; and her sisters, Delores Bilben of Chicago and Lucille "Lucy" Aduato of Omaha, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Manuel Ramirez, Jr.

Memorials may be directed to Paws Care of Montgomery County.
