Carroll Dean Rench, 74, of Nokomis, died on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 5:45 a.m. at his home.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Bishop Thomas Suey officiating.
Following the service, Mr. Rench will be cremated, and inurnment will be held at a later date.
Mr. Rench was born on Aug. 14, 1943, in Highland, to Raymond and Helen (Sussen) Rench. He married Betty Dirks on March 9, 1968, in Ft. Worth, TX, and she survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a truck driver.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rench is survived by two sons, Larry Dean (Teressa) Rench of Nokomis and Eric Harvey (Tonya) Rench of Fillmore; a daughter, Mary Beth Smith of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Shawnee, Cheyenne, Cody and Tyler Rench; brothers, Gene (Judy) and Darrell (Judy) Rench; sisters, Betty Watkins and Sandra Thornton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Rench was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Bill Rench; and a sister, Helen Campbell.
