Bernard Vincent Kaufman, 84, of Litchfield, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at 9:03 p.m. at Carlinville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 14, beginning at 1 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Interment will follow at the cemetery. Plummer Funeral Home of Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kaufman was born June 10, 1934, in Carlinville, to Bernard Edward and Rosalie Margaret (Schwab) Kaufman.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a follower of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Kaufman was employed as a professional truck driver for Buske Lines. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, going to car shows and showing his pickup truck and volunteering his time for the Meals on Wheels program.
He is survived by one daughter, Melissa (companion Richard Horner) Kaufman of Marine; one brother, Richard (Diane) Kaufman of Denver, CO; and one sister, Margaret Fritts of Litchfield.
Mr. Kaufman was preceded in death by his parents.
