Barbara J. (Baum) See, 80, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 5:05 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsboro.
Private family services will be held at a later date, with Father Dan Willenborg of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro. Cremation rites were accorded.
Mrs. See was born Aug. 28, 1937, in Decatur, the daughter of Wilbur and Mattie (White) Baum. She married Gerald "Jerry" See on Feb. 11, 1956, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Decatur, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2009.
A graduate of Decatur High School, she worked in the State's Attorney's office of Montgomery County. During her lifetime, she lived in Decatur and Hillsboro. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro and Hillsboro Country Club.
She is survived by her children, Jackie (husband Danny) Meyer of Hillsboro and Gerald (wife Cindy) A. See, Jr. of Chicago; five grandchildren, Luke (wife Kim) Meyer of St. Charles, MO, Jessie (husband Jamie) Hatfield of St. Louis, MO, Brenna (husband Dan) Tripp of Manteno, Connor (fiancee Kate) See of Wauconda and Shanna See of Chicago; two great-grandchildren, Maddox Tripp and McKenna Meyer; and sisters, Dora Sandage and Dottie Copsey, both of Decatur.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Baum.
Memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
